Jane Meyler

Jane is a business coach, psychotherapist, consultant, educator, and coaching supervisor with 15 years of experience in business. For the past 20 years, Jane has been immersed in the evolving profession of coaching.

With a wide knowledge and experience as a coach and educator, and a comprehensive psychological understanding, Jane uses an eclectic mix of skills, models, and methodologies, shifting within the coaching conversation between facilitative and directive styles according to need, to ensure her clients get the best possible outcome. She achieves coaching success by balancing the conversation to incorporate both the business and human aspects of work, by being ruthless and compassionate, caring and courageous, and by creating a light-touch, mingling humour with authority.

She has worked successfully with both individuals and senior teams in the City and Europe.
Her independent assignments have covered industries including consultancy, banking, law, start-ups and the voluntary sector. Clients include Ashurst, BAE, Bain Capital, City University, Government, Iproov, Novartis, NHS, Santander, Vodafone, and Warburg Pincus.

Areas of focus include Transition and Change: coaching at a time of disruption or shift in someone’s career, to work through the many options, and elicit well-informed choice to make the best-fit decision. On-boarding and Leadership: support during the leadership challenges of a new role, the stakeholder’s involved and early hurdles to overcome. Against all odds: when problems seem insurmountable, whether a glass ceiling, working in an extroverted climate, surviving in a twenty-four-seven culture, finding a way through.

Jane was the first faculty member of the School of Coaching, the initial provider of a university-accredited programme for executive coaches in the UK. Jane was the founding Director of a boutique consultancy, Meyler Campbell, which offers bespoke coach training and conducts research into the academic understanding of the evolving profession of coaching.

Alongside Jane’s coaching career, Jane has been involved in the supervision and assessment of fellow coaches, an area of great interest, involving explorative conversations that build the knowledge and skill of new and existing coaches in the business world.

Jane followed her other passion of being with horses, exploring how this could benefit people. Jane qualified as an equine facilitator in 2017, the primary focus of which is to work with people ‘on the ground’ alongside a free horse to enable personal learning and development. This work led to Jane completing an MA in Psychotherapy which informs all aspects of her working life, and offers an additional focus of work for those clients who want to focus at a greater personal depth.
